Bengali Association of Greater Chicago (BAGC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting literature, art, music and the rich religious and cultural heritage of South Asian Indian community.Since the year 1976, through its many social and philanthropic pursuits, BAGC has nurtured the soul of the immigrant Bengali community. Banga Bhavan, located centrally in Chicago land is the bustling hub of all activities connecting the people of Chicago with the essence of Bengal.

সরস্বতী পূজা আমাদের ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যায় শৈশবের কলকাতায় - যে দিনে বই থাকত ঠাকুরের পাশে,নতুন শুরু হত পড়াশোনার,আর মন ভরে থাকত এক শান্ত, মধুর উত্তেজনায়।জ্ঞান ও বিদ্যার দেবী মা সরস্বতী আমাদের জীবনে সব সময়ই আশার আলো, প্রজ্ঞা আর এগিয়ে যাওয়ার অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে এসেছেন।এই সুদূর প্রবাসে বসেও সেই ঐতিহ্যকে একসাথে উদ্যাপন করা মানে - নিজের শিকড়ের সঙ্গে আবার জুড়ে যাওয়া,আর সেই একই মূল্যবোধ তুলে দেওয়া আমাদের পরের প্রজন্মের হাতে।এ এক ভক্তির মুহূর্ত,একটু থামা ও ভাবার সময়,আর একসাথে থাকার এক সুন্দর উপলক্ষ।
Saraswati Puja brings back beautiful childhood memories of growing up in Kolkata, where this day meant books on the altar, new beginnings, and the quiet excitement of learning. Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and education, always symbolized hope, wisdom, and growth in our lives. Celebrating this tradition here feels like reconnecting with our roots while passing on the same values to the next generation. A moment of devotion, reflection, and togetherness.
