You will see it has a new look and is being designed to support new features like an on line data base, polls, event registration, on line payments etc.
However only authorized users with valid user ids and passwords can access the details / options available. All other users will see only the basic home page menu
1. Creating an account
The first step therefore is to register yourself (please create one account per family).
1. Access www.bagc.net
2. Click on “Create an Account”
3. Please fill out the registration form as completely as possible.
4. On submitting this information, the BAGC website administrator who will receive the details will activate your account
5. A link for a one time entry to the BAGC website will be forwarded to your email, and you will be asked to change your password.
6. You can henceforth access the website with the user id and password created.
2. Editing personal profiles
Once you log into the website you can manage your account profiles like address, telephone numbers etc as and when it is necessary.
3. On Line Payment
Effective 6 January 2009, members can make their membership / GFP / event payments on line. Non members who would like to attend specific functions can also do so. On line payment will be through Paypal..
Those of you who would like to know more about Paypal and its features can visit www.Paypal.com.
Some of the main objectives are
Ø Better forecast of attendance in functions
Ø Easier account management
Ø Little or no lines at registration
Ø Payment by credit card or check - The payment can be completed by a one time credit / debit card payment or by creating a Paypal account. The option to pay by check is also available – however please follow the guidelines listed. The check will have to be mailed physically by you.
Please remember for membership/event registration this step is necessary. Just creating an account as in step 1 is not enough.
4. The steps for Payment
1. Select Catalog from “registration catalog options” – or from “register on line”
2. Add to cart- member ship fees $ 35 (for GFP and non GFP members)
3. Continue Shopping, select Catalog,
4. Add to cart desired categories – adult / child etc
5. Enter names of persons attending. In each category, review quantity
6. Update cart, Proceed to check out
7. Review your order details
8. Select method of payment – either Paypal or check
9. Submit order – for check payments, please mail checks made in the name of “BAGC” to S Sriram, 2407 Emerson lane, Naperville, IL 60540. On receipt of payment an acknowledgement will be sent back. Please ensure checks are received by 31st Jan 2009 to avail of early registration rates.
For Credit card payments, you will now be taken to the Paypal site that is linked to BAGC.- here you have the option to create a Paypal account or make a one time transaction.
On completion of transaction you will receive an e-mail directly from Paypal confirming receipt of payment
10. Select option to return to BAGC website.
11 Review your order in “my Account”
12. Print the BAGC invoice with names of attendees and carry it with you to registration
To be Noted
At the time of adding to the Cart please ensure you fill in the names of the attendees as these will print out in the receipt.
5. Security of transactions
Security of transactions is handled by Paypal- this is their core competency and therefore has been utilized to the fullest. Users remain on the BAGC website completing the basic transaction steps. Any details of credit / debit card # etc are submitted on the Paypal site only
We fully understand that while many of you are regular users and comfortable with on line transactions, many of you are not. For those of you, who are not, please fill in the personal / family details and mail in the check.. Please note that checks must be received by 31st Jan 2009 to avail of the early registration rates
For those of you that are still not convinced we have yet another option – On site registration on the day of the puja.
6. Accessing news letters
As has been in the past the website also has the news letters posted. Those who are comfortable reading soft copies can access the same. The first issue of 2009 has been posted for your perusal.
